OK Give norv a raise. I don't think he is the guy of the future (i am probably very well wrong but I'm tickled pink that we got this far.) Hell... he got us to the AFC championship game. Whether or not that is because or in spite of him is irrelevant on this day. I might be able to pick point spreads pretty accurately but I must not know crap about the dynamics of football teams. Go figure! I guess that is why I am not involved in football in my professional career and why I am a part time florist who gives flamenco lessons for side cash. ("Is he really..?" No, but I might as well be now.) Here's your raise site Norv!

I hope more REAL Chargers fans (no bandwagoners with keyboards please)will begin to realize that all the things people like Troy Aikman and Dan Fouts say about Turner are true.
Even our beloved Chargers (to a man) are singing the praises of Norval. And if you can't provide details on what exactly "sources close to the team" are saying why bother? Are you a Raiders fan in disguise?
The guy has been a rock and not only did he kept the team together through a rough beginning, he has them peaking and believing at the right time. The play calling against the Colts also showed that Norv is peaking at the right time too. That screen to Sproles was a thing of beauty. Give the man his due and remember who installed our offence in the first place.
So if they beat the Pats will you be taking down firenorv.net?? Let's be positive and support the team and everyone in the front office. Go Bolts!
I stand corrected.
It's easy to be a Monday morning quarterback - or in this case a Monday Morning head coach. I was one of the many who chanted "Marty" with other Chargers fans at the home game when they lost to the Chiefs.
Watching the game today, and watching every snap this season (as all Chargers fans do), I regret that I ever doubted Norv Turner. I felt, as many did, that the incredible talent of this team was being hindered by a guy who was better suited for an Offensive Coordinator job.
This season Norv has proven a lot of people wrong - me included. To get the Chargers so well prepared for this game, facing the adversity of horrible calls (one of them negating a touchdown), huge underdogs, coaching a young team on the road against the defending Super Bowl champion Colts - INCREDIBLE job. All this after a turbulent season with huge expectations and a difficult game against a very physical Tennessee football team. Norv, I hope you get the raise as this blogs suggests you should, and all the credit you deserve. More importantly, I hope you stick around a while.
As a simple fan of the Chargers, this is my public "Thank You" and simultaneous apology to Norv, AJ, and the Team. Congratulations on a huge success. I vow that from now on, the only name of a coach that I will chant next season at home is "Turner"!!!

Well spoken guys! I would rather eat crow and win a superbowl than to have been right about Norv. They really outplayed them yesterday. The Chargers looked really good out there. Coaching and all. I was impressed.

Since the beginning of the season I have been saying to have a little faith in Norv. Does anyone remember those "In Bobby we Trust" bumper stickers from the 94 era with Bobby Ross and Bobby Betherd? I think we need to bring those back but with Norv. They were everywhere!
